Join highly innovative and motivated people who want to turn an idea into a startup.

Pitch your idea, form a team, and start a business in only 54 hours. Make new friends, find future collaborators, and enjoy free food, drinks, and snacks throughout the weekend.

Breakthrough Weekend is led by The Startup Collaborative and hosted by the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Franchising. At this event, you will learn the first steps in starting a business and gain and understanding of what it will take to navigate the road ahead.

Order of Events:

FRIDAY

5:30 PM: Doors Open // Check-In // Networking

6:30 PM: Kickoff and welcome from facilitators, hosts

7:00 PM: CEOs pitch concepts, share any pre-work or validation thus far

7:30 PM: Team formation // for pre-work teams: review of all LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 prework, including transcripts from customer discovery interviews and Lean Canvas

8:30 - 9:30 PM: Pre-validation workshop

SATURDAY

9:00 AM: Breakfast and All-Hands Review

9:30 AM: Concept messaging group workshop

11:00 AM: 1x1s with directors, mentors // work time

12:00 PM: Lunch // MVP workshop // Free time for teams that finish early (Aksarben)

3:00 PM: Ice cream and mentor review

5:00 PM: Deadline to distribute prototype survey (final customer discovery loop)

6:00 PM: Dinner and All-Hands Reviews

7:00 PM: Reception at Liv Lounge

SUNDAY

9:00 AM: Brunch and all-hands review

10:00 AM: Final prep // 1x1s with mentors

12:00 PM: ALL-HANDS PITCH REVIEW

2:00 PM: PITCH SHOWCASE
