How to Get Started
Whether you're an undergraduate or graduate student, we know cost is an important factor in your education decision. That's why the University of Nebraska at Omaha works hard to keep our tuition competitively priced. Making sense of financial aid is not difficult once you understand it. The first step is filing a FAFSA form. Remember to add UNO's School Code to your FAFSA: 002554
CollegeBound Nebraska is now Nebraska Promise
Nebraska Promise is the University's affordability promise to students that proves, at a minimum, that tuition costs will be covered (up to 30 credit hours per academic year) by federal, state, and institutional scholarships and grants during the Fall/Spring term. In order to qualify, a student must be a Nebraska resident, meet the FAFSA filing deadline (June 1) and complete financial aid file to-dos by July 1, enroll full-time as a degree-seeking undergraduate student, be a recipient of the Federal Pell Grant or have Family income of $60,000 or less (Adjusted Gross Income or AGI), and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.500.
2020-2021 FAFSA Priority Deadline Extended to June 1, 2020
The 2020-2021 FAFSA is for Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Summer 2021 terms. Apply early! Avoid delays and ensure you are awarded your maximum eligibility.
Complete Your 2020-2021 Financial Aid File by July 1, 2020
Completing your file (submitting your To-Do List items) by July 1 ensures that you will have your financial aid eligibility determined with plenty of time remaining until Fall courses begin. It is also a requirement to be considered for CollegeBound Nebraska.
