OMAHA – A University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) alumnus who is now a NASCAR pit crew coach will share expertise during a lean manufacturing webinar on February 13, 11 a.m.–noon.
The free webinar, “A Pit Crew Approach to Setup Reduction,” is hosted by the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) and features Brian Haaland, head pit stop coach at Penske Racing. He earned a physical education degree while playing goalie for the Omaha Mavericks from 1999 to 2003.
Haaland and his colleague Trent Cherry, along with lean manufacturing experts, will examine approaches that owners, operations managers and others can borrow from NASCAR to improve the capacity and accuracy of setup processes.
