Maverick fans are invited to invest in student-athletes as part of Volleyball Day in Nebraska.

To celebrate volleyball’s impact on the state of Nebraska, alumni, community members and friends are encouraged to invest in the athletic programs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). Gifts may be made at OnlyinNebraska.org/VBDay now through Sept. 30.

Numerous funds are available through the University of Nebraska Foundation to invest in each of the campus programs.

Gifts will directly support current and future student-athletes by funding scholarships, travel expenses, equipment, medical care and nutrition, and help to attract, recruit and retain top talent. Participation in athletics has countless benefits for Husker, Maverick and Loper students. Student-athletes learn invaluable skills like perseverance, determination and teamwork that they can apply to their future careers.

Volleyball Day in Nebraska will welcome an estimated 90,000 alumni, fans and supporters to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on Aug. 30. The Husker volleyball team will host the UNO Mavericks at 7 p.m. as part of a doubleheader. UNK will play Wayne State College at 4:30 p.m. in an exhibition match to start the event.

All gifts will be used to support campus athletics programs in compliance with applicable NCAA and IRS rules and regulations.
