The University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) is committed to assisting all members of the university community in providing for their own safety and security. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our number one priority.

Student Safety

All members of the UNO community are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our students while treating them with honesty and respect.

The UNO Division of Student Affairs works closely with campus and community partners to provide a number of resources to assist students and their families.

Public Safety

Public Safety provides service to the UNO campus community 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • protect life and property
  • provide building and ground patrol
  • investigate criminal offenses
  • control the University Access System
  • provide emergency first aid response for on-campus incidents
