Ordering a Transcript

UNO transcript requests can only be completed online. We do not accept requests via phone, email, or fax.

Transcript Ordering Instructions

Option 1: Current Students

  • Login to MavLINK
  • Click the Academics drop down link on the left side of the page
    • Click Request Official Transcript

Option 2: Former Students

  • Order through UNO's Transcript Request service
  • Click Create Account and complete the personal information

Option 3: Third Party Transcript Requests

  • It is recommended that the 3rd Party have the student create an account and complete the transcript request through UNO's Transcript Request service. Transcript requests through this service should be completed by the student only.

  • If the student is unable to request the transcript in the above format, the 3rd Party can mail in a transcript consent form with the student's signature, the student's information, and payment ($15 former students, $3 current students).

Please note:

  • To receive a copy of your official transcript, your UNO account must be free of financial obligations. It is the student's responsibility to contact the appropriate office to resolve any issues prior to submitting a transcript request.

Transcript Fees

There is $3 charge per transcript for students who are enrolled for the current semester at UNO.

There is a $15 charge per transcript for former students and those not currently enrolled at UNO.

Once an official transcript has been processed, it cannot be canceled or refunded.

Processing Time

Electronic transcripts are emailed out immediately (during peak times expect up to a 5 hour delay).
Paper transcripts are mailed out within 3-5 working days. You will receive an email confirmation when your order has been completed. You can also check order status or history online by logging in to the transcript request site and clicking Order Status at the top of the page.

  • Transcripts are not available over-the-counter the same day a request is made unless you have paid for expedited delivery.

  • If you require your transcript request be processed on the same business day it is received, you will need to select Rush Urgency and pay for expedited delivery. Rush transcript orders must be completed by 2:00 CST to make next-day delivery service. Orders placed after that will be processed on the following business day.

Currently Enrolled Students (Hold for Grades):

If you are enrolled in the current semester and want all your current semester grades posted on your transcript prior to the transcript being sent out, you can select Hold for Grades when completing your transcript request in MavLINK. Your transcript will be held and sent out after all of your semester courses are graded at the end of the semester.

Graduating Students (Hold for Degree):

If you are graduating in the current semester and would like your degree posted on your transcript before it is sent out, please select Hold for Degree when ordering your official transcript in MavLINK. Your transcript will then be sent out after your current semester courses are graded and your degree is posted at the end of the semester. Note: It can take up to three weeks after the degree conferral date before your degree is posted to your transcript.

Transcript Delivery Options

There are two ways to receive your official transcript:

Electronic Transcript or eTranscript

Students and alumni who attended after 1986 can order an official transcript as a secure electronic PDF that can be emailed to any email address. Due to shorter mailing times, electronic transcripts are the quickest method for receiving your transcript. The recipient has 30 days to download your PDF transcript before it expires.

Paper Transcript

Paper transcripts can be mailed via USPS to any mailing address. If you need a paper copy of your transcript sent via expedited delivery, you can select this option from the Mailing Method drop-down menu on the transcript ordering page. Please be aware that shipping and handling fees will be applied to your order for expedited shipping.

Unofficial Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts are only available to currently enrolled students. These are available on MavLINK under the Academics drop down link by clicking Unofficial Transcript.
