Here's a recap of what happened during Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.

Civic Engagement

Civic Engagement allows students to address our society's social and cultural issues. UNO has a long history of being a top university for voter engagement. Beyond this, students have opportunities to have meaningful dialogue on what it means to advocate, how government operates, and opportunities to engage in civic learning, such as the annual “I Love NU Day” at the Nebraska state capitol.

Our Values

  • Foster a campus culture of volunteerism and servant leadership.
  • Promote consistent messaging on the value of service toward students' post-graduation networks and workforce development.
  • Develop well-informed and engaged global citizens who are actively involved in the social issues of today and tomorrow in their communities.
  • Equip students with a strong commitment to voting and other forms of civic engagement, advocacy, and civil dialogue.
