The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, in memory of UNO retiree Mary Adams Thompson.
Adams Thompson passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, and was 92 at the time of her death. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Roberts and Tina Hille; her grandchildren Melissa Roberts Rock, Tyler Hiller and Christie Hille; and great-granddaughters Madison and Emily Rock.
While at UNO, Adams Thompson was a professor in the Grace Abbott School of Social Work.
Mary is interned at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to the First Plymouth Guatemala Mission.
