You may have recently heard reports about the possibility of bed bugs in the Strauss Performing Arts Center and have concerns or questions about the situation.
This is a note to inform you that we have been monitoring rooms throughout the building since Saturday, and, so far, no bed bugs or evidence of bed bugs has been found.
Please know that we take these reports seriously. We are working with a local pest control company and are prepared to respond in the event that bed bugs are found. If any positive results are detected, we will immediately begin the appropriate procedures to treat the facility and notify campus.
As there has been no confirmation of the presence of bed bugs, classes and campus events in Strauss will continue as scheduled and we will continue to actively monitor the building.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact UNO Facilities at 402.554.3600 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you believe you have spotted a bed bug, please make an effort to contain it and contact Facilities immediately.
