This week's Throwback Thursday is a photo from the first day of fall semester in 1969.
On Monday, August 24, we'll welcome a whole new generation of students to campus. Events the day before the start of classes, and the during the first week of the semester, will help start the academic year on the right foot.
New Student Convocation: August 23
Students new to UNO will be officially welcomed to campus in a special ceremony featuring remarks from campus administrators at 2 P.M. in HPER 128.
Campus-Wide BBQ in the Pep Bowl: August 23
The barbecue will immediately follow New Student Convocation. It will be held under the big tent in the Pep Bowl, located next to Caniglia Field.
Durango Days: August 23 - 28
August 23 is the start of UNO's annual Durango Days weeklong celebration welcoming students to campus.
Durango Days will be packed full of involvement opportunities, social activities, bands, other entertainment and free food.
