The Fund A portion ($26.48 of the full rate or $13.24 of the half rate) of the UPF fee is refundable during the first 30 days of each term. The student must complete the Fund A refund form and return it to the Cashiering/Student Accounts Office in person or by email at unocsa@unomaha.edu.
The refund will be applied to the student account balance first or refunded to the student. Students requesting a Fund A refund will no longer be entitled to the student activities supported by the Fund A student fees listed below:

Fund B
The Fund B UPF fee is designed for services, staff salaries, maintenance of facilities and related expenses, and those additional items designated by the chancellor. This portion is budgeted separately with emphasis upon continuing support. Fund B portion of the UPF fee is not refundable unless the student drops classes during the first week of the semester.

Student Fees Explained
To help make sense of specific UNO student fees and why they may apply to you, you can review the answers to our most commonly asked questions below.
To understand your student fees, the first and most important thing to know is this: How a course is being delivered will determine the type of fees that are assessed.
The university offers five different course delivery options.

- Remote Instruction (820-829 sections): Students could be located anywhere but must be available at class times and should have reliable learning space and internet access to attend virtually at scheduled times.
- Totally online Instruction (850-859 sections): Students could be located anywhere and access course content and activities at any time with reliable internet access. Students may interact with each other and the instructor at flexible hours.
- Partially online Instruction (860-869 sections): Students are usually located close enough to Omaha to be able to attend a reduced number of class meetings (usually 6 -8) on or near campus during the semester. Referred to as "hybrid in-person instruction."
- Hybrid remote Instruction (870-879 sections): Students could be located anywhere but must be available at a reduced number of virtual class meetings (usually 6-8) and should have reliable learning space and internet access to attend.
- On-campus tuition and fee rates apply to 001 sections, while online tuition and fee rates apply to sections, 820, 850, 860, and 870.
- Students enrolled in on-campus (001) or hybrid (860) courses will be assessed for University Programs and Facilities Fees (UPF).
