The Office of University Communications provides services to the university community, including design, photography, marketing, and website assistance.

Important Update

Thank you for visiting UCOMM’s Start Your Project page!

Based on the high volume of projects that are due by the end of the Fall 2021 semester for our campus partners, we may not be able to provide support for new campaigns, initiatives, and events that need to be executed by the end of the year.

If this request can wait until we return for the Spring 2022 semester, a Start Your Project submission will help us get a jump start on your request in the new year.

You will receive a response from a UComm staff member within 48 hours. Thank you for your patience and support.

NOTE: Before scheduling an in-person event, please view UNO's event policies and procedures on the Maverick COVID Response website.

Design & Marketing

  • New Design Request: A minimum of 2 weeks for an initial proof, a minimum of 1 week for revisions and approvals, and 2 weeks for printing and delivery.
  • Design Update or Reprint: A minimum of 2 weeks for an initial proof, a minimum of 1 week for revisions and approvals, and 2 weeks for printing and delivery.

  • Group photos are taken annually prior to the start of the fall semester

Maverick Daily and Bullseye Submissions

All submissions should be sent in at least two weeks in advance of the first desired publication date, not the event/deadline date.

When you visit the submission form, you will have two options:

  • Share existing: provide a link to news/event page that already exists in your college's News Center. This cannot be a link to a Facebook or Tockify event, etc.

  • Submit information: have us create an article for your news/event (must be in written form, not submitted as a PDF or flier).

If you are submitting information for an article to be created, please include two versions of your feature image: one sized 1200 x 800 pixels and the other sized 300 x 300 pixels.

If you are submitting information for the promotion of an in-person event, you must also include the approval form for your event.

Media Relations

UNO’s Editorial and Media Relations team works to foster knowledge about UNO locally, nationally, and around the globe. Share your story and expertise with a wider audience beyond UNO’s campus.

Use this form to submit requests for news releases, grant announcements, media mentions, Conversation pitches, UNO Experts biography updates, or a media relations consultation request.

All submissions will be assessed for newsworthiness. Submissions deemed to have higher news value will be given priority. Submitting this form does not guarantee internal or external publication and media coverage can never be guaranteed.
