Evelyn Gould

UNO has announced that Evelyn Gould, human resources and payroll assistant, is UNO's Employee of the Month for October.

The Celebration Committee surprised Gould with the news on Oct. 14.

Gould was nominated by her colleagues in UNO/UNMC Human Resources for going above and beyond in her support of UNO employees to ensure payroll processes, including I-9 forms, were completed on time despite the transition to remote operations.

"Evelyn spent long days on the phone and into the night patiently walking clientele step by step through the process and often got on conference calls ... for particularly troublesome cases."

Perhaps even more impressive, her colleagues said, is that Gould took on additional responsibilities to ensure payments to employees could be processed on time "all with a smile on her face."

For being selected Employee of the Month, Gould will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space.

To nominate an employee, complete the nomination form and send it to kristinahoffmann@unomaha.edu.
