During the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity’s inaugural virtual awards ceremony, Delta Chi Chapter was recognized as being in the top 10 percent of all Pi Kappa Alpha Chapters across the United States and Canada. The chapter was recognized with the Robert Adger Smythe Award—the highest undergraduate chapter honor.
The Smythe Award, named after Junior Founder Robert Adger Smythe, is given out once a year. Chapters who receive this honor have achieved academic excellence, contributed to their community through service and philanthropic events, distinguished themselves as leaders on campus, and exemplified the values of the Fraternity.
This marks the eighth consecutive year that Delta Chi Chapter has accepted the award. This year, the chapter was recognized for its involvement on campus, having a 106-man chapter, contributing nearly 6,000 hours and almost $52,000 to community service and philanthropy, and ranking first in fraternity intramural athletics.
The chapter was also recognized with a Scholarship Plate for the chapter’s 3.10 cumulative GPA and the PIKE U 25 Man Commitment award.
The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity is proud to honor Delta Chi Chapter with their 2020 awards and recognitions.
