Wendi Chiarbos Jensen, Assistant Director of External Research Resources within the Office of Research & Creative Activity, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for December.
The Prize Patrol surprised Wendi with the award on Dec. 4, 2018.
Wendi was nominated by her peers for her hard work and her ability to motivate others.
They said, “Wendi has played a significant role in maintaining ORCA’s momentum this past year. ORCA was challenged with multiple staff vacancies while experiencing the record high of dollars awarded to UNO. She took on additional work with a positive attitude and successfully got the work done.”
They continue, “She consistently performs her job with both professionalism and an infectious enthusiasm. Wendi empowers her colleagues to believe in themselves and continuously builds up their confidence. This is above and beyond because it truly shows where her heart is when she comes to work.”
For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Wendi will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space.
To nominate an employee, print and complete the nomination form and send it through campus mail to the Office of Human Resources, 205 EAB.
