UNO Public Safety, Air Force ROTC Detachment 470, and Offutt Air Force Base personnel will run a training exercise on Saturday, Oct. 8, simulating an active killer situation on campus.
The event is closed to the public and campus community. It will take place in Arts and Sciences Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This exercise will provide cadets an opportunity to practice the Public Safety-endorsed run, hide, and fight response.
Signage indicating that the training is in progress will be posted around the building during the exercise. The exercise area will also be clearly indicated.
Faculty, staff and students will still have access to offices and classrooms throughout this exercise.
