SPIRIT OF SERVICE AWARD

Marie Lee was recognized with the Spirit of Service Award at the Faculty Senate/Staff Advisory Council Banquet for her outstanding customer service, friendly personality, and abundance of knowledge.

Her nominators wrote, “Marie embodies the UNO spirit through her willingness and readiness to help and welcome new faculty and staff. With her 25 years of experience, it is hard to find someone who has not been helped or gone to her for her invaluable knowledge. Her warm and loving personality is infectious and she balances creating an energetic and inviting environment with getting work accomplished.”

They continued, “When I started working here, Marie taught me much more than the basics I needed to know for the administrative part of my job. She went out of her way to make sure I knew the people and processes that would make my tasks work out the best and most efficiently. She also welcomed me and showed me the friendship, warmth, and spirit that made me want to be a part of the UNO family.”

Congratulations, Marie!
