Presidential Scholars Program
Beginning with new applicants for Fall 2024, the Presidential Scholars Program covers the full cost of attendance at the University of Nebraska for up to four years (or completion of a bachelor's degree), with three inclusive summers, plus an annual $5,000.00 stipend. Cost of attendance includes full tuition and required fees plus the standard budgeted amount for housing and meals, books and supplies, and personal expenses.
Awarded to recent high school graduates with top test scores of 36 ACT or 1570-1600 SAT. Must be a Nebraska resident.
Students must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA and complete 30 credit hours each academic year to be eligible for renewal.
For consideration, submit (1) an Application for Admission by February 1st, and (2) ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year.
The Presidential Scholars Program may transfer to any other university or campus of the University of Nebraska System, including the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL), the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), or the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA).

Regent's Scholarship
Awards cover resident tuition.
Criteria include, (1) Nebraska residents, (2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools, (3) minimum composite ACT of 30, and (4) either top 25% of their graduating class (6th or 7th semester) OR cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher will qualify for the award.
Renewable for up to three additional years, or until 120 credit hours attempted (not including hours earned through dual enrollment or AP classes), or bachelor's degree is earned. Renewal subject to maintaining full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
For consideration, submit (1) an Application for Admission by February 1st, and (2) ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year.
Academic Achievement Scholarship
Beginning with new applicants for Fall 2024, awards of up to $3,500 per academic year.
Criteria include, (1) Nebraska residents, (2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools, and (3) students with outstanding ACT scores and high school GPA not qualifying for Regent's Scholarship.
Renewable for up to three additional years subject to maintaining full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Habrock Scholarship
Named for longtime Director Marty Habrock, beginning with the Fall 2024 semester, awards $1,000 per academic year.
Criteria include, (1) Nebraska residents, (2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools, and (3) promising students with above average ACT scores and high school GPA not qualifying for Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Renewable for up to three additional years subject to maintaining full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
For consideration, submit (1) an Application for Admission by February 1st, and (2) ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year.
Nebraska Career Scholarship
Limited number of highly competitive awards of up to $13,000 per year.
Criteria include, (1) Nebraska residents, (2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools or transfer students, and (3) students pursuing programs of study leading to careers in high-demand fields related to mathematics, engineering, healthcare, and computer information systems.
Current eligible programs at UNO include Behavioral Health, Biology, Biomechanics, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Emergency Management, Gerontology, IT Innovation, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Medical Humanities, Molecular and Biomedical Biology, Neuroscience, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics, Public Health, Psychology, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Pre-Agricultural Engineering, Pre-Biological Systems Engineering and Pre-Mechanical Engineering.
Renewable for up to three additional years, or until 120 credit hours attempted (not including hours earned through dual enrollment or AP classes), or bachelor's degree earned. Renewal subject to (1) maintaining full-time enrollment, (2) a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, (3) pursuit of an eligible degree program, and (4) completion of Nebraska-based internship, apprenticeship, clinical position, or other program of study related field experience prior to start of fourth, or final, academic year. Contingent upon continued funding from the state of Nebraska.
For consideration, submit (1) an Application for Admission by February 1st, (2) ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year, and (3) a FAFSA form.
Distinguished Scholarship
Five highly competitive annual awards with a total estimated value of $31,000 to $33,000 over a four-year period.
Criteria include, (1) Nebraska residents, (2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools, (3) highest academically talented high school students, and (4) admission to the University Honors Program.
Renewable for up to three additional years given satisfactory academic performance.
To apply you must (1) be admitted to UNO by February 1st, (2) submit ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year, (3) complete the General Scholarship Application prior to February 1st, and (4) complete the University Honors Program Application. Eligible applicants will automatically considered for the Distinguished Scholarships and Honors Merit Scholarships. Applications are available at: https://unomaha.academicworks.com/.
Urban Health Opportunities Program (UHOP)
The Urban Health Opportunities Program (UHOP) supports the urban Nebraska medical workforce by identifying and preparing qualified students to enter and succeed in medical school. Awards cover resident tuition.
Criteria include, (1) Nebraska residents, (2) graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools, (3) minimum cumulative ACT cumulative and math section score of 24, and (4) guaranteed admission to UNMC's M.D. program with the completion of UHOP requirements.

UNO Advantage Scholarship
Limited number of competitive awards cover up to the difference between Resident and Non-resident, or OUR, tuition.
Criteria include, (1) Non-resident students, and (2) outstanding academic performance.
For consideration, submit (1) an Application for Admission by February 1st, and (2) ACT/SAT scores through the February test date during senior year.
Young Scholars Program
The Young Scholars Program began at UNO in 2011 and provides a full scholarship to selected students. Students in the Young Scholars Program participate in a variety of activities such as weekly study sessions, various social and academic events, and service projects throughout the school year. Young Scholars have a support system at UNO that includes an Academic Mentor with whom they meet periodically throughout the year.

UNO Alumni Association Scholarship
UNO Alumni Association Scholarships award $2,500 per year scholarships to graduating high school seniors who demonstrated leadership and involvement during high school. Renewable for up to three additional years subject to maintaining full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants with a minimum ACT composite of 24 and either a rank in the top 25% of their graduating class (6th or 7th semester) OR a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) considered.

Gerbracht Scholarship
A scholarship fund has been established in memory of long-time University of Nebraska Omaha employee William Gerbracht. Upon his death in June 1991, Gerbracht bequeathed a portion of his estate to establish an academic scholarship fund at UNO which is awarded to a first-year student who is the child of a full-time UNO faculty or staff member. The full tuition scholarship is awarded on academic promise, and is renewable if the student maintains an acceptable GPA.
To apply, complete the UNO Scholarship application in MavLINK by March 1st of your senior year. The application process will require you to upload a letter from your parent verifying they are a UNO faculty or staff member.
G. Robert Muchemore UNO Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded competitively to outstanding first-year students who are graduates of Nebraska high schools that demonstrate financial need. Typically these are awarded to applicants with above average ACT/SAT scores that rank in the top 10% of their high school class.
The scholarship is worth up to $6,000 per year. This scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years if the recipient continues to demonstrate financial need, and maintains full-time enrollment with a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.

Scott Scholars (Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship)
The Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship Program (Scott Scholars) provides complete funding for an undergraduate college experience including tuition, room and board, and whole-person learning opportunities. Eligible areas of study include majors within the UNL College of Engineering, UNO College of Information Science and Technology, and other STEM related programs.

UNO Teacher Scholars Academy
The UNO Teacher Scholars Academy is a select group of high-achieving teacher candidates who embody leadership qualities, academic excellence, and a commitment to teach in Nebraska for 4 years. Incoming first-year students applying to the UNO Teacher Scholars Academy must first be admitted to the UNO College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS).
This scholarship is worth up to $5,000 each semster (or $10,000 annually) and may be renewed for an additional three years, provided the recipient maintains renewal criteria and UNO continues to receive funding for future years.

Nebraska Eagle Scout Scholarship
The NE Eagle Scout Scholarship provides Eagle Scouts from Nebraska and from Harrison, Mills or Pottawattamie counties in Iowa scholarship funds to attend a post-secondary institution in the state of Nebraska. Students attending a two-year institution in Nebraska are eligible for up to $6,000 ($3,000 annually) and students attending a four-year institution in Nebraska are eligible for up to $12,000 ($3,000 annually).

EducationQuest Foundation
This program funds scholarships for students with significant financial need. Recipients must never have defaulted on a student loan or currently owe a repayment on a grant.
Applicants are considered for this award by applying for admission to UNO by February 1st and file a FAFSA form.
The Goodrich Scholarship Program
The Goodrich Scholarship Program intends to provide a college education for persons who otherwise could not afford it while offering them a broad and meaningful experience in general education. The program has a three-pronged approach. It provides:
- financial aid in the form of tuition and fees toward a bachelor's degree,
- a specialized curriculum emphasizing the humanities and the social sciences, and
- a comprehensive program of academic support, counseling and other related student services.

Phillip Schrager Scholarship Program for Student Leaders
The Phillip Schrager Scholarship Program for Student Leaders recognizes students who possess outstanding leadership capability. Selection is based primarily on a student's involvement in high school activities and organizations. Documented financial need is required and scholastic achievement is an important qualification. The scholarship is valued at up to $15,000 per year. Preference is given to students from the Omaha metropolitan area.

Davis Scholarship
The Davis Chambers Scholarship and the Davis Chambers Community College Transfer Scholarship recognize academically promising students who have knowledge and experience in a diverse environment or community. More information available here.
Isaacson Incentive Scholarship
This program recognizes students who have experience with diversity and are permanent residents of Omaha. Scholarship awards are worth $1,000 each. To qualify for consideration, students must have earned a cumulative 3.0 GPA in high school, from UNO, or the college from which they are transferring. Each scholarship is renewable for up to three years based on continued academic success. More information available here.
Paul Beck Scholarships
Paul L. Beck, a long-time member of the History Department, urged faculty and staff to go beyond the classroom to assist capable students in their educational pursuits at UNO. Inspired by his call to action, the Faculty Senate of the University of Nebraska Omaha has sponsored scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 for meritorious students since 1970. UNO Women's Club Scholarships
The UNO Women's Club offers six merit-based, partial scholarships for full-time and part-time, undergraduate and graduate students. Applications are due before May 1 each year, and awards are distributed during the subsequent fall and spring semesters.
