UNO leadership encourages students, faculty and staff to follow the latest CDC guidance and be mindful of their health and wellness.

University of Nebraska System President Ted Carter and UNO Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D. have announced that campus access is currently limited to essential personnel only. Beginning June 1, some campus access restrictions will be lifted, though buildings will continue to be restricted by key card access as approved by employee supervisors. The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is preparing to safely resume in-person teaching and learning for the Fall 2020 Semester beginning Aug. 24. Five working groups composed of students, faculty, and staff are addressing areas of academics, facilities, student services, communications, and events/athletics in order to ensure a safe return.
