International Professional Development (IPD) Program

This program is currently under construction, with a goal of being relaunched in 2025.


The UNO International Professional Development Program (IPD) is geared toward motivated professionals from diverse academic, business, social, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds.

The program aims to have students share experiences and perspectives with classmates.

We design custom programs, seminars, and workshops that are tailored to meet your company’s or organization's unique professional development needs.


Admission into the IPD Program

Acceptance into IPD will be determined individually based on academic records, English language skills, and work experience. 

  • Admission to the program is limited.
  • Apply as early as possible to ensure time for application review, visa application, and preparation.

Admission requirements include: 

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in any field. 
  • A TOEIC score of 600, Internet-based TOEFL score of 52-55, or IELTS score of 5.5. 

How to Apply for the IPD English for Professionals Program

To apply for IPD, please follow the checklist below. 

 

Complete the Application 

Download and complete the IPD Application form. If you are from Japan and interested in applying, please contact our educational partner ALC Education.

 

Pay the Application Fee 

Pay the non-refundable $75 application fee by credit card using the payment form on the application.

 

Include English Test Scores 

Include your TOEIC, TOEFL, or IELTS test scores with your application.

 

Share Your Résumé

Include your résumé demonstrating your professional work history.

 

Enclose Financial information

Send a bank statement showing adequate funding in the account to cover the in-country costs for the eight-week program. Also, complete the Financial Statement on the application.

 

Include Immigration and Visa Documents

All applicants must send a photocopy of their passport.

Applicants transferring from another school in the U.S. or from ILUNO Intensive English must also include copies of the following:

  • Form I-20
  • Current visa
  • Form I-94
  • Transcripts from your current school or ILUNO

Lastly, be sure you know how SEVIS requirements may apply to you.

 

Email and Mail Your Application and Information

Email all of the above items to unoipd@unomaha.edu and mail hard copies, along with other application materials, to:
