Welcome to UNO!

One of the first things to do during your first week in Omaha is officially report your arrival. Reporting your arrival online is a U.S. government requirement for nonimmigrant students. We have outlined the steps to do so below.

You need to report your arrival if you are:

  • A new UNO international student with F-1 or J-1 visa status.
  • A new UNO international student with Form I-20 that transferred from another U.S. school.
  • Returning to UNO with a new Form I-20 or DS-2019 or re-entering the U.S. with a new Form I-20 or DS-2019.

Three Steps to Report Your Arrival

  1. Complete the Check-In and New Student Compliance e-forms in iGlobal.

  2. Upload copies of your Form I-20 or DS-2019, passport, visa, and Form I-94 (issued when entering the U.S.) for International Advising to review before activating your SEVIS record.

  3. Update MavLINK with your new Omaha address. Be sure to have a permanent address in your home country and a local/current address in Omaha. Both are required in SEVIS.

These steps must be completed within your first week of arrival and will activate your SEVIS record.
