Welcome to Omaha, Nebraska! As you get settled, it is important to complete the necessary steps to begin your UNO program and learn about resources available to help you transition smoothly.
Before Classes Begin
All new international students must report their arrival and attend international student orientation.
Login to UNO Email
All enrolled students are given a UNO email account and access to the Microsoft 365 (MS365) software suite. Login and check your UNO email regularly. Important information is communicated through email - including academic, billing, health insurance, and more from various UNO offices and International Programs.
- Log in using your NetID and password on Microsoft's homepage to use your MS365 account.
- This includes your student email, calendar, and MS365 applications such as OneDrive and Microsoft Office.

Medical Check List
1. Complete or Show Proof of MMR Immunization (Required)
All students, including international students and scholars, IEP students, must provide immunization records in English from a doctor or hospital showing two Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) shots or a measles titer report from a laboratory or doctor showing you are immune.
If you do not bring these immunization records signed by your home country physician, you must have the first MMR immunization dose immediately upon arrival. The second dose must be given 30 days later. The on-campus Nebraska Medicine UNO Health Center can administer the doses.
2. Schedule Tuberculosis Screening (Required)
All international students must also complete tuberculosis (TB) screening at the Nebraska Medicine UNO Health Center upon arrival. TB tests from outside of the U.S. are not accepted.
Call 402.554.2374 to schedule an MMR Immunization and TB testing appointment at the Nebraska Medicine UNO Health Center. The TB test can be billed to insurance.
3. Meningococcal Meningitis Disease (Optional, but Recommended)
Vaccination for Meningococcal Meningitis Disease is recommend prior to arrival or upon arrival. Learn more about this disease.

4. Parent or Guardian Authorization (Medical Requirement for Students Under 19 Years of Age)
