UNO International students and scholars may need to change apartments or on-campus housing while studying at UNO.
For international students and scholars, moving to a new place must include reporting any address change to international advising within 10 days to maintain your nonimmigrant status in the U.S.
How to Report Your New Address Change
International Students (F-1 and J-1 visa): Update your local current address in MavLINK within 10 days of moving. Be sure that you do not change your permanent or home country address.
International Scholars (J-1 visa): Email International Advising to share your new local address within 10 days of moving.
How to Write a U.S. Address
To write your U.S. address, include:
Line 1: First and Last Name or Name of Business/Organization
Line 2: Street Number, Street Name and Type (Avenue, Street, Circle, Plaza, etc.), Apartment or Suite Number
Line 3: City, State and Zip Code
- The city, state, and zip code are placed on the same line with a comma separating the city and state.
