How to Transfer to UNO
Once in the U.S., J-1 visa holders may transfer to or from UNO with the approval of both their current and future sponsoring institutions.
- Both sponsoring institutions must confirm that the program objective is substantially similar to the original purpose of the J-1 program and complete a transfer form.
- UNO recommends coordinating with both sponsoring institutions at least one month in advance to ensure enough time for completing all paperwork and transfer requirements.
