Mohamad (Mo) Doghman is the energy delivery vice president at Omaha Public Power District (OPPD). He currently oversees all planning, engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric power grid. He is also the chief compliance officer (CCO) responsible for the reliability, resiliency, and security of the electric power system.
Since joining OPPD, Doghman has served in many engineering, operation, and management positions, including manager of substation construction, system operations, maintenance optimization, and system protection departments. He has also served as director of the engineering division.
Prior to joining OPPD, he worked for a large manufacturing company developing and implementing energy management programs. He also worked at a global consulting firm providing engineering services.
Doghman earned an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a master of science in electrical power engineering (MSEE) from the University of Missouri-Columbia, bachelor of science in electrical engineering (BSEE) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and completed the nuclear reactor technology training for utility executives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Nebraska. In 2010, he received the University of Nebraska at Omaha Alumni Award for Excellence in Management.
In support of his industry and community, Doghman has served on many boards, including Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Nuclear Safety Review Board (NSRB), Midwest Energy Association (MEA), University of Nebraska Electrical Engineering Steering Committee, University of Nebraska Executive MBA Board, Heartland Latino Leadership Corporate Advisory Board, and the American Red Cross Nebraska/SW Iowa Region Board.
