Campus Recreation

The mission of Campus Recreation is to enhance the UNO community's quality of life through participation in fun, diverse recreational and leisure opportunities.

Entering the Wellness Center

The UNO Office of Public Safety monitors trends and receives guidance from local, state, and federal health officials. Read more about current campus guidance

Recreational opportunities continue to be re-evaluated on an ongoing basis. We will endeavor to increase these opportunities while continuing to follow CDC guidance: cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/playing-sports.html.

What to expect when using the Workout Facility

  • Please ask the Weight Room Supervisor any questions regarding the fitness area.
  • Wash Hands for 20 seconds using soap and water before entering and after leaving the fitness area.
  • Complete all sets and reps before moving to different stations. Avoid doing supersets in that you would move to a new station.
  • Please spray and wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • Any questions can be directed to current staff members.

What to expect when using the Climbing Wall

  • Wash hands using soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer before entering and after leaving the Climbing Wall.
  • Climbing shoes are available for check out and must be worn inside the Climbing Wall.
  • Clean gym shoes are allowed on the wall. They must never have been used outside and the soles must be disinfected before they are used on the wall.
  • Any questions can be directed to current staff members.
