For Community Consideration (FCC)

This monthly email features public events from UNO's Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center (CEC), UNO Libraries, the Willis A. and Janet S. Strauss Performing Arts Center (SPAC), and other major events being sponsored by UNO's colleges and academic programs.

This email is published by the end of each month during the fall and spring semesters. Emails do not run during the summer.

Audience

  • FCC is intended for community members and lifelong learners who are interested in learning about events they can attend.
  • The campus community is welcome to subscribe to FCC, however, the email events and content is created with the general community in mind and what events appeal most to this audience.

Eligible Events

  • University-sponsored
  • Open to the public
  • Open with a broad audience registration
  • Of public interest
  • Events that take place in the UNO CEC, Libraries, SPAC, or other buildings on campus
  • Events taking place in the following month

Please note that we do not include academic enrollment and recruiting events in this email.

The Process for Including UNO Events

At the beginning of each month, a list of key campus contacts from UNO colleges and departments receive an email request for possible events. This includes college communicators, University of Strategic Marketing and Communications contacts, and others that plan or have knowledge of major events.

To be included as a key campus contact, please email Robyn Loos at rloos@unomaha.edu.

Event Information Needed

  • Event title
  • Event date
  • Short summary about event
  • Link to a UNO website page to learn more

Why do we require a UNO website page?

Doing this allows us to include more events, as well as direct people to the website for weather or other safety updates that might change the status of an event.

FCC is coordinated by a small group of staff from UNO's CEC, UNO Libraries, and SPAC. For general questions or to discuss including events, please email Robyn Loos at rloos@unomaha.edu.
