Piano Proficiency
BM- Performance majors (except piano) and BM- Music Education majors instrumental/voice seeking teacher certification, must pass two semesters of class piano by the end of their fourth semester. BM – Piano Performance majors must pass two semesters of keyboard skills by the end of their fourth semester. Students may test out of keyboard skills and class piano if they pass an exam to demonstrate proficiency in these fields. For more information contact Professor Stacie Haneline. Transfer students who may have passed a proficiency at another institution must also pass the proficiency at UNO.
