Thank you for your interest in attending an event at the Strauss Performing Arts Center.
With the exception of open parking times (see below), parking permits are generally required across campus. However, Parking Services relaxes ticketing policies during School of Music events in certain designated areas.
These areas vary by event, so please check specific parking options under that event on our Concerts & Events page.
Open Parking
There is open parking across campus (no permit required to park in the lots or garages) at the following times:
- After 7 P.M. Monday through Thursday
- After 5 P.M. Friday
- All day/evening Saturday and Sunday
Every Friday, there is also open parking in general use spaces in the East Garage and West Garage.
You will receive a ticket if you park in a reserved, metered, or handicapped stall without a proper permit, or next to curbs, drives, or fire lanes, as these are designated for emergency vehicles only.
Handicapped parking can be found in:
- Lot E (just west of Strauss)
- Lot R (between College of Public Affairs & Community Service and Allwine Hall)
- Lot M (south of the Criss Library)

The Strauss Performing Arts Center is located on the UNO campus between the University Library and the Milo Bail Student Center on University Drive North, parallel to Dodge Street.
