Professor Eldridge teaches a variety of financial accounting courses including Principles of Financial Accounting, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Graduate Financial Accounting Theory, and Graduate Seminar in Financial Statement Analysis.
Research and Creative Interests
Professor Eldridge's research interests include empirical analyses of financial accounting, reporting, and disclosure issues including capital structure, share repurchases, intangible assets, business combinations, corporate restructurings, Sarbanes-Oxley regulation, and bankruptcy prediction. Her research has been published in Journal of Applied Business Research, Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies, Journal of Accounting, Ethics and Public Policy, and Journal of Accountancy.
Dr. Eldridge is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in N.C.) and is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of CPAs, and Financial Executives International. She became the Chair of the UNO Department of Accounting in 2009. Before entering academe, she was in public accounting and was a controller in the construction industry.
