A native of Glenwood, Iowa, Rod Rhoden received his BSBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1967. He was a member of both Sigma Phi Epsilon and Omicron Delta Kappa. Rhoden later attended law school in California before serving active duty in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

While in California, Rhoden worked for various automobile dealerships in Orange County. He returned to Omaha in 1971 to begin his own automobile business.

His firm, Motors Management, now operates five dealerships in Omaha, Lincoln and Council Bluffs. Combined, they generate approximately 200 million dollars in annual retail sales and employ 330 full time employees. Many employees have been with the company for over 25 years—several since day one.

Recently, Rhoden is most active with the Honda and Acura brands which he represents in Omaha and Lincoln. His Honda and Acura dealerships are longtime recipients of top national awards for customer satisfaction.

Rhoden has served on various boards including UNO Alumni Association board of directors. He is currently a member of the UNO Chancellor’s Club and the University of Nebraska Foundation and President’s Club. His dealerships have been active in the athletic club programs at both Omaha and Lincoln campuses for over 35 years.
