Lawrence Comine Jr. is a graduate of North High School. He received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from UNO in 1962. He is Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of FirsTier Bank in Omaha.

He previously served as chief executive officer and vice president of FirsTier Bank, Grand Island, Nebraska from June 1984 to June 1986. He has served in various areas for Omaha National Bank (now known as FirsTier Bank, Omaha) including Correspondent Banking and Commercial Lending.

He is a member of Nebraska Bankers Association Executive Council and the Board of Trustees of Nebraska Methodist Hospital. While in Grand Island, Nebraska, he was active in the Grand Island Industrial Foundation; trustee of St. Francis Medical Center Foundation; Co-Chairman of the American Cancer Society; Grand Island Downtown Board Association; Chairman of the Legislative Affairs Committee for Grand Island Chamber of Commerce; and Co-Chairman of Boy Scouts of America Sustaining Drive.
