How do I decode my tuition statement? 

UNO uses an e-bill, which is accessible through your MavLINK account.

I have credits from another college, how do they transfer? 

UNO accepts transfer credits from accredited colleges and universities in the region. Below are Transfer tools you can use to see how coursework from other colleges and universities typically transfer to UNO.

How do I apply for a job on campus? 

UNO offers many opportunities for students to work on campus in a variety of settings. All student positions are viewable through Human Resources.

What are placement exams? 

Only students who have been officially admitted to UNO are eligible to take these exams.

I have prior experience, can I test out of a class? 

Credit by Examination or Challenge Testing is designed to allow students the chance to get academic credit for prior experience. Tests may be taken in various subjects, and if you achieve acceptable score, you can earn those credits. You can save tuition dollars and shorten the time it takes to earn your degree.

What’s the difference between a NetID and NUID? 

The NUID (Nebraska Unique Identification) is a unique eight-digit number assigned to all students, faculty and staff members during either admissions or hiring. This number remains the same across the University of Nebraska and Nebraska State College system. 

The UNO NetID is your username and password for online services specific to UNO and is automatically generated upon enrollment of classes, registration for orientation, or as part of the hiring process. Every student, faculty and staff member has a UNO NetID.

My technology isn’t working. Who can help me? 

IS Technical Support can help with issues with accounts, phones and technical services such as Canvas, MavLINK, and gMAV. IS Technical Support does not fix personal computers, but they can make recommendations.

Faculty/staff and students purchase permits online using MavPARK.

How do I get around without a car? 

A variety of sustainable options exist for commuting to, from, and around UNO’s campuses. Using these methods reduces traffic and parking congestion, saves money, and is better for the environment.

Where can I eat on campus? 

There are a variety of great tasting and healthy food options on campus. You can use your MavCARD, cash, or debit/credit card at each of these locations. All dining locations use renewable and compostable serving containers, napkins, and utensils.
