A MavCARD is an essential part of campus life at UNO, providing access to services, facilities, and more. Follow these steps to get your MavCARD.

Instructions for Obtaining your MavCARD

To recieve a MavCARD, the following steps must be completed:

  • Enroll in at least one (1) class
  • Complete online Orientation

In-Person Process

To obtain a MavCARD in person, visit the MavCARD Services Office, located on the second floor of the Milo Bail Student Center in Room 216. During peak periods, such as the beginning of the semester, anticipate longer office wait times and plan accordingly.

The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., excluding university-recognized holidays.

A valid photo ID and University-issued NUID number are required for verification. (See Acceptable Forms of Identification). All forms of ID must be the original physical document. Once all information has been verified, the MavCARD will be printed and issued during the visit.

TIP: Submitting a photo a few days in advance through MavCARD GET Online or the MavCARD GET Mobile App (Download for Apple or Android) can help expedite the process.

Mail and Pick-Up Process

New students can complete the DocuSign process and upload identification using the MavCARD Services DocuSign Form, located on the MavCARD Procedures page.

A photo can be uploaded directly through MavCARD GET Online or the MavCARD GET Mobile App (Download for Apple or Android). Please note that photos submitted through the app are manually reviewed by our staff and may take up to one full business day to be reviewed. Before submitting, ensure the photo meets the MavCARD Photo Guidelines. Photos that do not meet requirements will be rejected and will be asked for another submission.

When completing the form, there is an option to either pick up the MavCARD in person or have it mailed to the address provided. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for processing.

Note for Housing Students: MavCARDs will not be mailed to incoming residents for three (3) weeks leading up to designated move-in dates. If you are a resident and have not received your MavCARD by your official move-in date, visit the MavCARD Services Office during business hours to pick up your card in person.
