A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Aaron Cerrone is a corporate and military leader with over 20 years of experience in operations, planning, management, and program development. He completed graduate work in human relations at the University of Oklahoma and received a certification from Villanova University as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Outside of UNO, Mr. Cerrone is an Air Force Reservist currently acting as Chief of Operations in the Global Command Center at USSTRATCOM and is involved with the UNO ROTC Detachment, serving as a combatives instructor and mentor. He is a lifelong martial artist holding instructorships and certifications in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Filipino Martial Arts, and Jeet Kune Do; he owns and operates Mid-America Martial Arts in Millard since 2003.
Mr. Cerrone has actively raised funds for numerous charitable organizations. He founded the 501c3 nonprofit MAMA Reporting Services focused on helping Omaha and metro area youth develop critical life skills and build a foundation for a positive transition to adulthood. The organization aims to make long term changes in our communities by providing juveniles an environment of positive influence through its powerfully positive martial arts community; immersing area youth in a structured and discipline environment surrounded by positive peers and inspiring mentors, proven mediums to provide purposeful intervention and constructive impact on youth.
Mr. Cerrone is host of the Treadmills and Tangents, a health and wellness talk show that airs weekly on The Answer, FM 94.5 FM and AM 1420.
