BOLD Fellow Reflects on Their Experience in the U.S.
October 13, 2022The BOLD Institute on Civic Engagement at UNO welcomed 30 young leaders to the United States for a five-week long residency. BOLD (Bosnia and Herzegovina Youth Leaders) is an international exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo and focused on developing leaders, promoting international education, and positively impacting the region.
Grant Brings Pakistani English Teachers to UNO
July 11, 2022UNO’s International Program’s Center for Afghanistan Studies hosted 48 Pakistani English teachers for a six-week teacher training and cultural exchange program. The participants from five different provinces in Pakistan came to Omaha in two separate cohorts spanning from Spring to Summer 2022.

Reflection One Year After Graduation
June 06, 2022Alexia Mickles graduated from UNO in the spring of 2021 with an International Studies major, English and Political Science minors, and a TESOL certification. A Susan Thompson Buffett Scholar, Mickles studied abroad at Yeungnam University in South Korea for her fall 2019 semester. One year later, Alexia has reflected on the past 12 months and how her experiences at UNO lead her down a unique path. Her thoughts are shared here.
A Successful First January Session of Global Courses

UNO Joins the National Student Exchange
January 20, 2022UNO is now a member of the National Student Exchange, a consortium of over 170 universities in the United States and Canada. Mavericks will be able to spend a semester or academic year studying on exchange at institutions throughout the US while paying their regular UNO tuition.
