Fulbright Opportunities

What is Fulbright?

The Fulbright Program is an international educational exchange program sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs section of the U.S. State Department. Fulbright provides funding for scholars, educators, and professionals to engage in advanced research, teaching, and collaborative activities around the globe. It is a transformative experience that can greatly enhance your professional development and broaden your career horizons.

UNO supports and encourages faculty and staff to participate. Our faculty, staff, and students have been awarded Fulbright grants to research and teach in countries such as Canada, Austria, Czech Republic, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Germany, Uzbekistan, Argentina, Kyrgyzstan, Spain, Taiwan, Peru, Germany, Poland, Turkey, and Wales.

Types of Grants

Fulbright U.S. Scholar Awards

Fulbright Scholar Awards offer opportunities for professionals, artists, and scholars at all career levels to teach, conduct research and carry out professional projects around the world. Location and eligibility vary across all awards, and some awards may be restricted to certain career levels or types of scholars. Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright Student Program provides fellowships for graduating college seniors, graduate students, and alumni to pursue studies, conduct research, and/or teach English abroad.
