President Ted Carter issued Executive Memorandum 44 September 8, 2021, which solidifies the University of Nebraska’s commitment to providing sexual violence prevention and awareness training to all faculty, students, and staff.
The University of Nebraska Omaha, as part of the University of Nebraska System, is committed to providing sexual violence prevention and awareness training to our faculty, staff, and students.
UNO has partnered with Catharsis Productions, a national team of experts and educators, to provide sexual violence prevention and awareness training. All students, faculty, and staff, will be taking part in this online training to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits, learns, works, and teaches at UNO. The training, which is offered and completed through the Bridge Learning Management System, engages learners on the topics of the University of Nebraska Sexual Misconduct Policy, procedures related to sexual misconduct, resources, and ways to report.
Students and employees should visit Bridge to ensure they have completed the training in the last year. Instructions for checking to see if your training has been completed can be found in the Training Verification How To Guide.
Multiple modules are offered and tailored specifically to the primary role that the learner plays on campus. This includes training specifically for undergraduate students, graduate students, and employees. Training is required annually for students and employees, with automatic enrollment occurring every year.
