OMAHA - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) has announced its fifth round of building partner organizations to be housed in the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center (Weitz CEC). Six new organizations – one from UNO and five community-based organizations – were selected, bringing the total number of building partner organizations to 38, which includes UNO’s four signature outreach programs housed in the Weitz CEC.

The selection process consisted of an initial written application, followed by interviews with the Weitz CEC Building Advisory Committee, composed of community and university representatives. The committee made formal recommendations to senior leaders at UNO, for the final decision.

The new building partner organizations include:

Every Bite Counts

Every Bite Counts is a student run organization built to provide assistance in recovering food otherwise thrown away for the purpose of giving back to under-served individuals, especially youth, in our surrounding community.
