Open-Parking | August 1 - August 25
UNO will observe open-parking from Thursday, August 1 through Sunday, August 25. Regular enforcement begins on the first day of classes, Monday, August 26. Please see the Parking Enforcement Schedule for all open-parking dates for the 2024-2025 year.
The following areas are excluded from open-parking since they are enforced 24/7/365: reserved spaces, motorcycle spaces, carpool spaces, electric vehicle (EV) charging spaces, visitor spaces, resident lots, driveways, drive aisles, hash-marked areas, fire lanes, bus pullover lanes, loading zones (for unloading and loading only), ADA spaces (prohibited to those without an ADA permit), Compact spaces (unless vehicle fits inside defined area), pay-to-park spaces in lot A, lot C, and the seven (7) designated spaces in lot M (payment not necessary, but time limits enforced), and any area not designated as a parking area.
2024-2025 Annual and Fall Permits On Sale | August 1
Annual and Fall permits for the 2024-2025 academic year go on sale on Thursday, August 1, at 8 A.M. Visit the Permits page to see the rates for 2024-2025.
Waiver Request Form Migration update | July 11
The waiver request form currently processed through DocuSign will be migrating to MavPark as part of the Appeals process to provide a consistent single interface. Both methods are up and running for now with a planned retirement of the form around August 1.
2024-2025 Retiree Permits Available | July 1
Retiree permits for the 2024-2025 academic year become available on Monday, July 1, at 8 A.M. Retirees need to contact the Parking and Transit Services office to acquire their permit.
2024-2025 Reciprocal Permits Available | July 1
Reciprocal permits for the 2024-2025 academic year become available on Monday, July 1, at 8 A.M. Those needing a reciprocal permit need to contact the Parking and Transit Services office to acquire it.
2024 Summer Valid-Parking | May 20 - July 31
UNO will observe valid-permit parking in general-use spaces during the summer session, Monday, May 20, through Wednesday, July 31, with any valid UNO parking permit allowed to park in any general-use spaces in any surface lot or garage.
