Our Maverick students are never short on bright ideas, and we are in need of faculty help at the Student Research and Creative Fair, where our students will showcase their hard work to community judges and the public. Faculty moderators are integral to the success of the fair.
Faculty moderators assist our judges, ensure that the day stays on schedule, and introduce our brilliant students. In short, they are the reason that the day runs smoothly.
This year's fair place on Friday, March 1, 2019, and will consist of poster presentations, oral presentations, demonstrations, and performances from students of all degree levels and from all disciplines.
Faculty moderators will moderate a 90-minute session during the day, as well as attend a 30-minute orientation/instructional session prior to the session start time on the day of the event. The total commitment for the day of the event is two hours. We will also offer a couple of instructional sessions prior to the day of the event for those who wish to familiarize themselves with the online judging system and their role as a faculty moderator prior to the event. These are not required. The dates will be sent out as they become available.
