It is officially summer, and that means that it is time to start up our third annual IT Allies Summer Reading Series! This year, we will be meeting over Zoom to cover different areas of identity, the impact of those identities, and how our identities create conditions of privilege.
Schedule
July 15 | Women and Sexual Minority Groups
9 to 10 A.M.
Aug. 15 | Racism and White Privilege
9 to 10 A.M.
Materials
Since we are covering lots of different identities, there is no single book required for you to purchase. Instead, articles and podcasts will be available for each module.
Simply do the readings before each Zoom discussion, and we will have an informal conversation (less structured than previous years) in each session.
