Faculty Art Display to Open Art Gallery’s Fall Calendar

OMAHA – The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Art Gallery will feature recent work by studio art faculty in its first exhibition of the fall semester.
The public is invited to an opening reception from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26. The exhibition will run through Thursday, Sept. 29.
The exhibition features the work of 15 visual artists on the faculty of the School of the Arts. Their art covers a wide range of media including painting, book art, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, digital images, and printmaking.
Faculty artists showing work include Jody Boyer, Amy Haney, Camille Hawbacker, David Helm, Ashley McFeely, Russ Nordman, Bonnie O’Connell, Howard Paine, Joe Pankowski, Jesse Ross, Luke Severson, Barbara Simcoe, Colin Smith, Katie B. Temple, and Jave Yoshimoto.
The UNO Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Weber Fine Arts Building on the west side of UNO's Dodge Street Campus. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Appointments at other times are encouraged. Call the gallery at 402.554.2796 during regular hours for more information or to schedule an appointment.
The gallery will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5.
All gallery events are free and open to the public and the gallery is accessible to guests with disabilities.
