FMP Working to Cool Buildings as Unseasonable Weather Persists
With the unseasonably warm weather outside this week, buildings may be hotter than normal. We want you to know that your comfort while at work is important to us. Facilities Management and Planning has adjusted mechanical systems to cool buildings as much as possible and is preparing to activate chilled water systems on Dodge and Pacific campuses.
UNO Building Temperature Policy
Exact times of seasonal change are difficult to predict. When determining the switchover date, Facilities Management and Planning considers prevailing weather patterns, the campus HVAC systems and controls, and building usage. Switchover is about a two‐week process that is not immediately reversible. In the spring and fall, outside temperatures can vary considerably. Please be aware that indoor temperatures may rise above or fall below comfort levels during these transition times.
