  5. Choosing Courses and Registration

The course approval request form allows your classes that you enroll in while abroad to transfer back into UNO credits. We encourage you to start this process as soon as possible.

First, see what courses your host university offers, or what you would like to take while abroad. You can usually find this information on your host universities website. You will fill out the study abroad course title and number.

Second, talk with your academic advisor about UNO courses that have similar descriptions and course objectives. Once you find the equivelent courses, your academic adivsor will need to fill out the UNO course title and number and then sign the form.

Finally, make sure everything on the form is complete and turn into the Education Abroad Office in220 ASH. (We are able to make a copy of the form if you would like.) This form is due prior to your departure.

If you are abroad and have changed courses, or dropped a course, please make sure you are in contact with our Education Abroad Advisor, Emily Krueger, and your Academic Advisor.
