Global Courses

Global Courses are classes offered by UNO Education Abroad + UNO Academic Departments that give students opportunities for intensive international and domestic learning experiences.

The Facts

Who will I be paying for my program?
Program costs will be paid to UNO. Billing typically occurs through MavLINK.

Can I use my UNO tuition scholarships to pay for my program?
Yes, UNO tuition scholarships will apply to any UNO tuition costs associated with a global course program. On average, one-two Global Courses focused on foreign language each year are set-up as transfer credit, where tuition at a host university abroad is included in the program cost instead of a UNO tuition bill on MavLINK. When host university tuition is included, UNO tuition scholarships are not compatible.

Is a global course right for me?
Global courses are great for students who:

  • Want to study abroad for a shorter period of time
  • Feel more comfortable traveling with other UNO students and faculty members
  • Are looking for in-depth information and experiential learning for certain topics
  • Have UNO scholarships and want to apply them to the cost of a program (in most cases)
  • Want to take their learning to a new level
