Affiliate Providers

Group of young adults pose together for a photo, smiling, with a road, cars, and palm plants in the background.

Affiliate Providers are independent organizations that offer and facilitate study abroad programs. They are able to provide additional support throughout the application process and offer on-site services and activities that help students make the transition to their new country and culture.

All program costs except for the Education Abroad Admin Cost will be paid directly to the affiliate provider or purchased by the student.

You cannot use UNO tuition scholarships to pay for Affiliate Provider programs, because there is no UNO tuition charged. You can use other types of financial aid such as Pell Grant, Nebraska Promise, grants, loans, and savings. UNO students can also apply for the unique scholarships offered by their Affiliate Provider. Be sure to look at each Affiliate Providers scholarship offerings on their websites.

Affiliate programs are good for students who:

  • Want an additional level of support when they study abroad
  • Feel more comfortable knowing they will meet a group of fellow study abroad students as soon as they arrive at their destination
  • Don’t have UNO tuition scholarships or are willing to put them on hold until they return
  • Are looking to study in a country where exchange isn’t offered or is extremely competitive
  • Have specific destinations wanted or course needs not satisfied by UNO Exchange Partners

Early applications are encouraged!
