Program Types

Study Abroad Programs that Bill Tuition at UNO

Global Courses, UNO Exchange, and ISEP Exchange are all study abroad programs where tuition and academic fees are billed at UNO through your MavLINK account. These options allow students to apply tuition scholarships, Nebraska Promise, federal and state grants, and loans towards program expenses.

Study Abroad Programs that Bill Tuition at the Host University

UNO Direct programs and Affiliate Partners offer study abroad programs around the world, and UNO students pay the cost of particpating directly to their partner program. UNO students have their financial aid processed through UNO and remain a degree seeking student. Federal and State grants, loans, and Nebraska Promise can all be used when studying abroad at a UNO Direct or Affiliate Partner. UNO tuition scholarships cannot be applied to the program cost, because there is no UNO tuition charged for participation.
