Pull the nearest fire alarm if you see smoke or fire.

Report & Evacuate

  • Dial 402.554.2911 and Public Safety will then sound the general alarm.

  • Give your name, location, and extent of the fire.

  • Spread the word if possible. Evacuate the building.

  • If possible close all doors behind you.

  • DO NOT USE ELEVATORS

  • Individuals who are in wheelchairs should immediately go to the designated stair towers where emergency personnel will assist them.

Self Help Measures

  • If you are caught in smoke, drop to your hands and knees and crawl below the smoke level to the safest exit.

  • If you are trapped in a room, place cloth, or material under the door to keep smoke from entering.

  • Know the location of the fire extinguisher and how to use it.

  • Learn at least two escape routes from your location.

Rally Points
