Telling an African folktale with puppets. Writing a radio play based on “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Developing heroic characters through props and improvisation.

These are just a few of the learning adventures Alternative Curriculum Program (ACP) students at Omaha Public Schools (OPS) experienced this fall with the help of WhyArts through a series of creative workshops.

The visual art created in conjunction with the project is on display from December 4 through December 11, located in the Weitz CEC First Floor, Union Pacific Atrium.

This project was made possible by funding from the Nebraska Arts Council.
